The Ervamoira On-Site Museum

At the Quinta de Ervamoira in the Upper Douro, between the villages of Muxagata and Chãs in the Côa Valley, Ramos Pinto continues its association with the arts and its encounter with cultures. The Museu de Sítio de Ervamoira was inaugurated in 1997 in the heart of the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, which protects 17 km of Palaeolithic rock etchings classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. This is also a model Quinta (estate), as it was the first one where the vine rows were planted totally vertically.
Visits to the Ervamoira estate and museum are arranged by prior appointment and conducted by a museum guide.

Visitors are met at Muxagata. They then make the journey to the Côa Valley Archaeological Park in a 4x4 vehicle belonging to Casa Ramos Pinto or in a private vehicle authorised by the firm.
At the time of booking, visitors can choose a simple visit to the estate and the museum or a visit that also includes lunch.

A visit to the Ervamoira museum offers you the chance to acquire a range of knowledge about the history of the site and wine production in the Douro: the natural heritage, the Roman and mediaeval archaeological heritage, the ethnographic heritage, the history of Casa Ramos Pinto, the estates and wine production in the Upper Douro.
Visit Ramos Pinto in the heart of a Cultural World Heritage.
